Education Committee
The Education Committee aims to evaluate the local need for 2S/LGBTQIA+ affirmative and sensitive education. We explore strategies for identifying needs, promoting existing resources, or proposing new educational initiatives. Our goals include:

Identifying local needs for 2S/LGBTQIA+ inclusion and equity training for the overall Waterloo Region (e.g., workplace inclusion training)

Identifying local needs or requests for education within the 2S/LGBTQIA+ community (e.g., organizing an education session on consent and healthy relationships within 2S/LGBTQIA+ relationships)

Boosting educational opportunities led by 2S/LGBTQIA+ individuals and organizations, with an emphasis on opportunities that are local to the Waterloo Region
To increase accountability of the RCC as a whole, this committee also evaluates any educational needs of the RCC.
The Education Committee is currently chaired by staff from Spectrum.
